I did a ton of research to find the best TV in the mid-tier price range. The most important thing to me is picture quality. Being a photographer, little things that some folks might not notice would unfortunately annoy me. This TV is bare bones in a lot of ways to get the price down, but produces the most important thing- a picture that has a ton of dynamic range, great contrast, brightness & motion looks great on it - especially in "game mode." "Game mode" also looks great for cable TV most of the time, but "Dynamic" looks amazing for movies. Pop "Life of Pi" in your blu-ray player & be prepared to be blown away. Btw, the people who give all the calibration options definitely have a point as far as making it technically color correct & such, but visually is not as appealing. Again, put it in "Dynamic" picture mode, play around with the picture setting a little bit & you'll be stoked. This could be the case as well because Samsung gives you an "update" via wi-fi after you plug the TV in & they made a couple tweaks on their own.

Getting back to what I think is "bare bones" on the TV is the fact that it doesn't have an "Audio Out," only a "line out" or "optical out," the difference being that a "line out" makes it so you CAN NOT adjust the volume using the TV remote if say, you plugged in a pair of headphones or even normal speakers! You literally either have to buy a sound system that has it's own volume control or buy a "headphone" amplifier with it's own volume knob that you HAVE TO GET UP OFF YOUR COUCH & adjust every time you want to adjust the volume. The simple fact would have made me give the TV 4 stars (wish I could give it 4 & a half) if the TV didn't have such an incredible price.

Overall I'm very, very happy with this TV & would buy it all over again.
